Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the more dynamic styles of yoga. The focus is on passive stretches, holding poses for 3-5 minutes. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones & joints of the body. Stretching from head to toe whilst finding focus, patience and release in the mind as well as the body.

Flow&Yin Yoga

Offering an all-round experience by blending two styles of yoga into one practice. Each class will include Vinyasa Flow & Yin Yoga. Vinyasa will help to build strength, stamina & flexibility with more active sequences & standing postures. Yin is mostly seated postures held for long lengths of time working on deep connective tissues & joints in the body to create space.

Bikram Yoga

Bikram Yoga is a series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises. Classes run for 90 or 60 minutes and the room is heated. The Bikram sequence was designed to systematically and progressively work every muscle, ligament, tendon and joint, moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body, into each and every organ and fibre, restoring all systems to a healthy balance.

• Flushes toxins from the body
• Builds endurance
• Creates a cardiovascular workout

Fusion

This class fuses together Vinyasa Flow and Bikram Yoga in the hot room to give you the best of both practices. Classes run for 60 or 75 mins and the room is heated.

    Anyone who practises Bikram Yoga will say that you will always remember your first class, and it's true. I found myself completely unprepared for what I was about to experience the first time I stood in front of a wall of mirrors looking back at the reflection. What followed for the next 90 minutes was physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally uplifting, challenging and completely intense. I thought it would never end and when it did I remember walking out of the studio feeling completely elated and exhausted but I knew that I would be back for more. That was about 10 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did and still is. Jane Ashton was my first instructor at Bikram Yoga Fleet.  She has the ability to put you completely at ease. During her classes her instruction will ensure you adopt the correct posture whether you're new to the practise or have been practising for years and you can tell that Jane enjoys teaching as everyone will feel engaged in her positive, focused and enjoyable yoga class.

She shares her deep knowledge, so as a pupil you get so much out of the yin yoga sessions. They are very enjoyable, the time races by and at the end of a session you feel revitalised, refreshed and rebalanced. I just love my Yin Yoga with Jane.
